MERCURY MAMBO Dominates the College Forward College Challenge

Team Mambo Sweeps to Victory in all Three Trivia Contests

AUSTIN, Texas – March 29, 2007 – In an unprecedented three-round sweep, Mercury Mambo trounced the competition to claim overall victory in the 2nd annual College Challenge presented by College Forward. The event, a fundraiser for College Forward, tests trivia and knowledge in a myriad of subject matters of competing teams – mostly comprised of local area businesses.

“Team Mambo is ecstatic today,” said an overjoyed Becky Arreaga, President, Mercury Mambo. “Our team was amazing, answering questions with lightening speed and baffling competitors.”

College Forward provides college preparatory services to motivated, low-income high school students in Austin, Georgetown, Del Valle, and Hays ISD.

“We have a great friend in the Mambo,” said College Forward Executive Director Lisa Fielder. “Over the years, they’ve given us their time, their financial support, and some fantastic ideas. I’m thrilled they took home the gold!”

“Mercury Mambo believes that education is critically important for success. We want to help support College Forward as they provide the tools necessary for many young Hispanics who have the dream of going to college and just need some help getting there,” added Arreaga. “And, we’re proud of our employees who volunteer their time for the causes that are important to them.”
